Sliding doors

Nevermind the major events one has experienced in one’s life.  What about those supposed insignificant moments?  For instance, leaving work on time or an hour later.  Catching the bus or missing it.  Agreeing to go out or staying in.  All mundane situations yet they can be catalysts for dramatic changes.

And then, stuck in the middle of a crowded club that I didn’t want to be at in the first place, I find someone who also didn’t want to be there in the first place.  And even though this encounter may or may not last forever, we’re left wondering what would’ve happened if Choice B was selected?

No matter how much I love being in control of my life, in the end, does life conspires us all?
